An Ohio man arrested for pulling a gun on a fellow motorist on I-75 in Naples, is a police officer, who’s been disciplined numerous times in his 23 year career and had been fired for a similar incident back in 2006. Joseph Laperna works for the Aurora, Ohio Police Department, and has been placed on administrative leave, pending the outcome of his case. Aurora is a suburb of Cleveland.

A man wanted on murder charges in connection with the death of 78 year old Frances Axley of Naples back in January is in custody in Southwest Florida. 35 year old Thomas Evans, a family friend, was arrested in Georgia back several months ago. He is now in the Collier County Jail facing second degree murder charges.

 

Spring Break is here, and the Fort Myers Beach Town Council had considered making changes to the town’s noise ordinance, leaving decisions on whether an event was too noisy up to a police officer’s determination. Council has instead decided to make no changes to the ordinance and police will continue to use decibel meter to make those decisions

 

35 year old Salvador Lem of Bonita Springs has been charged with child neglect after his 6 year old son was found alone walking on Front Street Saturday. Lem eventually returned to his home, allegedly intoxicated, and told police he had gone shopping. DCF has taken custody of the child, and since Lem is an undocumented immigrant, he’ll be turned over to Homeland Security.

 

 

Luke Perry Dead at 52

  • Days after suffering a “massive” stroke, Luke Perry has passed away. He was 52.
  • A spokesperson said family and friends were by his side when he died.
  • Last week, paramedics went to Perry’s home to treat someone suffering a stroke. Perry had been “under observation” for the last five days.
  • Perry is known for his iconic role as Dylan McKay on Beverly Hills 90210. Most recently, he played Fred Andrews on Riverdale. 

 

 

Corey Feldman Defends Michael Jackson In Wake Of “Leaving Neverland” Documentary

  • Child actor and friend of Michael Jackson, Corey Feldman took to Twitter to give his thoughts on part one of the HBO documentary, Leaving Neverland. Feldman called the documentary “poorly made” and made his feelings about it known in all caps.
  • WE NEVER SPOKE ABOUT SEX OTHER THAN A FEW WARNINGS ABOUT HOW SEX WAS SCARY, & DANGEROUS. MJ., Feldman wrote, “NEVER ONCE SWORE IN MY PRESENCE, NEVER TOUCHED ME INAPPROPRIATELY, & NEVER EVER SUGGESTED WE SHOULD BE LOVERS IN ANY WAY!”
  • Feldman revealed that he had a video of one of the conversations that were had between them and says that the video would show the “innocence” of their relationship.
  • Feldman tweeted that there were many kids, including girls, who were around Jackson and that none of them were approached sexually by Jackson. Feldman argued that most pedophiles don’t “have self-control” and are “serial offenders.”
