It appears that the City of Cape Coral and the Dixie Roadhouse are getting closer to an agreement that will allow the bar to stay open until 3am. The bars extended hours had been suspended last December after several rowdy incidents culminating in an all out brawl that involved suspected gang members. The council will make their decision public at it’s next regular meeting on May 6th.
A 32 year old ER Tech at Physicians Regional Medical Center is under arrest for allegedly stealing a patients Rolex watch and selling it to a pawn shop. Karley Rey is facing several charges including grand theft, dealing in stolen property, and exploitation of the elderly.
One person died in a rollover crash on I-75 in Naples yesterday near Pine Ridge Road. No ID yet on the victim. The road was closed for several hours as a result of the crash.
A Melbourne Mom is under arrest after she left her 14 month old child in a hot car for five hours while she made a cocaine buy. The child died in the hospital two days later. Emily Hartman has been charged manslaughter by child neglect, possession of cocaine, and possession of cannabis.
