Threats of a bomb and a shooting closed the Naples Bowland Center Saturday night. The phone threat came in after 7pm Saturday night Saying there was a bomb at the Bowland location on Pine Ridge Road near US 41. That prompted an evacuation of the building, but no explosive device was found. There were further threats of a mass shooting, plus a threat to the Fort Myers Bowland. Bowland is offering a reward for information leading to an arrest.

One person was killed in an Easter afternoon boat crash on Pine Island Sound. The victims name is not available, and the investigation is continuing.

A Northport man was killed in a rollover crash on US 41 in Fort Myers over the weekend. Five people were hurt in the crash on US 41 and Avenue A. Police are continuing to look into the crash, No I.D. yet on the deceased.

 

A veteran Florida Sports broadcaster has been arrested and charged with allegedly attempting to solicit a 14 year old boy and sending him explicit photos. Justin Pawlowksi was caught in a sting by Tampa Police. He’s been charged with  transmitting harmful material to a minor.

  • If you’re one of the over 23 million known people that use “123456” as a password online, you’ve got the most hacked password in the world, according to a cybersecurity firm in the U.K.  Four other passwords that are easily hacked are “12345678”, “password”, “111111” and “qwerty”.
  • Even names are pretty common passwords.  The most common names used are Ashley followed by Michael, Daniel, Jessica and Charlie.  The most used band name for a password?  Blink-182.
  • Experts say you have a better chance of protecting yourself online if you use a password with three random but memorable words.

 

 

Game of Thrones’ Highest Paid Cast Members Revealed

  • House of Lannister rules on and off the screen.
  • 3 out of the 5 highest paid actors on Game of Thrones are Lannister’s.
  • Lena Headey (Cersei), Peter Dinklage (Tyrion) and Nikolaj Coster-Waldou (Jaime) all make $500,000 per episode.
  • Kit Harrington (Jon Snow) and Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) also make $500,000 per episode.
  • Then the salaries drop. Both Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) and Maisi Williams (Arya Stark) get paid $175,000 per episode.
  • In a recent interview, Sophie Turner said that she had no problem with the pay disparity. She said that Kit Harrington had a bigger storyline than she did and that he did approximately 70 night shoots in the last series. She didn’t have that many. She said, you know what…keep that money.
  • Both Turner and Williams are estimated to be worth $6 million each.

 

Doctors Are Warning Teens Not to Participate in the “Shell on Challenge”

  • Another day, another teen internet challenge. This one is called Shell On Challenge.
  • This challenge encourages teens to eat things still in its packaging. For example, eat the banana by biting through the peel. Another example is eating through the packaging of Hostess, Lil Debbie or Tastycakes including chewing AND swallowing the plastic packaging.
  • This means teens are consuming plastic.
  • Teens are videoing themselves and posting to YouTube, Instagram and Snapchat.
  • Doctors are warning teens not to participate in this challenge. Fruit rinds are typically not dangerous.
  • Eating plastic is another story. BPA has been suggested to influence hormones. Chemicals in PVC like vinyl chloride have been linked to cancers.
