Florida Governor Says Russians Hacked Voter Databases In Two Counties

After meeting with FBI officials, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis says Russian hackers were able to access voter databases in two Florida counties leading up to the 2016 election.
DeSantis wouldn't name the two counties at the FBI's request. He says the hackers gained access via a 'phishing' email after a poll worker clicked on a link.
DeSantis says the hackers didn't manipulate any voter data and that the hack didn't affect the outcome

A Mariner Middle School student in Cape Coral is facing disciplinary charges after bringing a toy gun to school. There were no threats made, the toy gun was confiscated, the student was not identified.

An autistic Port Charlotte teen is missing and now authorities want to talk to her biological mother. A warrant has been issued for 53 year old Brenda Cambron in connection with her daughter Sage's disappearance. Her father was arrested yesterday in Louisiana on drug charges. Brenda and her daughter have been seen together on surveillance video and are believed to be headed to Louisiana.

An early morning water main break at Edison Mall caused some inconvenience for shoppers yesterday as it caused several businesses to close, including several in the food court. Bathrooms were also shut down and the mall provided portable toilets for shoppers while they worked to fix the problem. Management at Edison was advising shoppers to call ahead before visiting the mall.

- The victim says she was sleeping when her boyfriend, 30-year-old Kyle Jones, began slapping her in the face with a cheeseburger, before pulling her hair and kicking her down the stairs
- Deputies say the woman was still sporting "several remnants of said cheeseburger" when they arrived. Jones was jailed and released on bond.

Carol Burnett Show Star Tim Conway Dies at 85

Comedian Tim Conway has passed away at 85 after a long battle with dementia. Conway won four Emmy awards between 1975 and 1978 for his roles on The Carole Burnett Show.

Conway also won two Emmys for acting while on 30 Rock and Coach. Conway's biggest big screen appearance was in The Apple Dumpling Gang.

Bayer Must Pay $2B to California Couple after Roundup Cancer Trial

A California jury has awarded a couple more than $2 billion dollars after suing Bayer over its failure to disclose the alleged cancer risks of its Roundup weedkiller.
The couple claimed that they each developed non-Hodgkins lymphoma after using Roundup. Their lawyer said that Bayer defectively designed the weedkiller and didn't properly disclose the cancer risks of Roundup. In addition to the billions the couple was awarded, their lawyer is also demanding that Bayer add a clearer cancer warning label on its product.
Bayer says that the couple already had several health problems that contributed to their cancer and plans to appeal. There are over 13,000 RoundUp cancer risk cases in the U.S.

Bill Nye Dropping F Bombs On Climate Change Is A Must See

Remember Bill Nye the Science Guy? He taught us about molecules and combustion in the 90s and he was everyone’s favorite Science teacher, however, now Bill Nye is at his wit's end and he dropped an “F-bomb” so we’d know he’s serious.
Nye was a guest on Last Week Tonight With John Oliver, and he demonstrated just how serious climate change is.
As Bill Nye put it the Earth is on “f___ing fire!” Nye says we can do something to change course, pointing at a fire extinguisher, a bucket of sand and a blanket.
Nye then says climate change solutions aren’t free, “Nothing’s free, you idiots. Grow the f___ up. You’re not children anymore. I didn’t mind explaining photosynthesis to you when you were 12. But you’re adults now, and this is an actual crisis, got it?”

Washington Named The Best State In America

A new ranking from U.S. News & World Report names Washington as the best state in America.
The list ranks states by multiple criteria including economy, health care, education, and infrastructure. Washington took the #1 spot, followed by New Hampshire, Minnesota, Utah, and Vermont.
Meanwhile, the southern states of Louisiana, Alabama, and Mississippi found themselves at the bottom of the list. Last year's top state, Iowa, dropped all the way down to 14th in the rankings.
