Flash Flood Watch in Effect for Charlotte and Lee County
The National Weather Service in Tampa Bay Ruskin has issued a Flash Flood Watch.
* Flash Flood Watch for portions of southwest Florida and west central Florida, including the following areas, in southwest Florida, Coastal Charlotte, Coastal Lee, Inland Charlotte and Inland Lee. In west central Florida, Coastal Citrus, Coastal Hernando, Coastal Hillsborough, Coastal Levy, Coastal Manatee, Coastal Pasco, Coastal Sarasota, DeSoto, Hardee, Highlands, Inland Citrus, Inland Hernando, Inland Hillsborough, Inland Levy, Inland Manatee, Inland Pasco, Inland Sarasota, Pinellas, Polk and Sumter.
*Flash Flood Watch is In Effect Until Friday, November 11th at 1pm.
* Tropical Storm Eta is expected to move closer to West Central Florida over the next 48 hours, before likely making landfall somewhere in the Big Bend Area. Areas on the east side of Eta`s circulation will experience heavy rainfall with outer rain bands that will train over the same area. Locations under these heavier rain bands can expect to receive excessive rainfall amounts and flash flooding.
* Periods of excessive rainfall may produce flash flooding, especially in urban areas and along small creeks and streams.
