Report: Some Americans Have Already Received The Third Stimulus Payment
Stimulus checks, when?
A few Americans have already received the third stimulus payment, according to the mobile banking service called Current.
Mobile banking service Current started to receive stimulus check payments as early as 12 p.m. today, according to CNBC. These deposits came just one day after President Joe Biden signed the $1.9 trillion COVID-19 stimulus package into law.
“The bank began crediting the payments to customers’ accounts right away, making the funds fully available, they said, and estimating that they have credited around 25% of Current’s eligible account holders already.”
The bill includes a provision for a third stimulus payment worth up to $1,400 to most Americans and each of his or her dependents. It also includes the following:
- $400 per week jobless benefit supplement and an extension of programs making millions more Americans eligible for unemployment insurance.
- $20 billion towards COVID-19 vaccinations
- $50 billion into testing
- $350 billion into state, local and tribal government relief
During yesterday’s press conference, White House press secretary Jen Psaki said that some Americans will receive their stimulus checks as early as this weekend, according to CNBC.
