A new trailer for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings gives us more insight and action into the upcoming Marvel movie opening on September 3 in theaters only.

We see Shang-Chi battling the criminal empire led by his forsaken father Wenwu (Tony Leung), a.k.a. the feared Mandarin, the shadowy leader of the Ten Rings organization. As we previously reported, the Ten Rings have been a figure lurking in the background for years in the MCU, first introduced in 2008’s Iron Man.

Shang-Chi is a master of numerous martial arts action unarmed and weaponry-based wushu styles, including the use of the gun, nunchaku, and jian. Awkwafina plays Shang-Chi’s friend, Katy.

The trailer treated us with a cameo -- when the Abomination returns to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (since 2008's The Incredible Hulk)for a roaring cage match with Doctor Strange's Wong (Benedict Wong). The Abomination, played by Tim Roth, is also appearing in the upcoming Disney+ show, She-Hulk, set to premiere in 2022.

A few comments under the video on YouTube called out Abomination's feature:

"Marvel sneaking in Abomination vs Wong at 1:51 was hype," wrote one user.

Another person wrote, "Me over here loving the trailer and then Marvel surprises me, a guy who's up to date on Marvel news and possible spoilers, and yet didn't know about Abomination! I can never underestimate them!"

Producer Jonathan Schwartz told Entertainment Weekly that Shang-Chi has the "best action [Marvel has] ever done," adding that "every punch is meaningful, every fighting style is meaningful, and the story is told visually in such a great way."

Watch the latest trailer for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings below. The film opens September 3, in theaters only (as opposed to Black Widow, which opens July 9 but will also be available for an extra fee on Disney+ that day).
