Remember when the Sonic the Hedgehog movie freaked people out, due to the way that Sonic was animated? So much so, that the animators completely changed his look? Well, ever since Paramount Studios dropped their trailer for the upcoming live-action movie Clifford the Big Red Dog, folks have been similarly freaked out.

People seem to be more frightened of the furry beast, giving too much of an accurate representation of what Clifford would be like in the real world.

The plot centers around middle-schooler Emily Elizabeth (Darby Camp) who meets a magical animal rescuer (John Cleese) who gifts her a little, red puppy. She never anticipated waking up to find a giant ten-foot hound in her small New York City apartment. While her single mom (Sienna Guillory) is away for business, Emily and her fun but impulsive uncle Casey (Jack Whitehall) set out on an adventure and, of course, hijinks ensue.

Twitter users had fun with the terrifying trailer:

This user wrote, "just found out how they filmed the Clifford The Big Red Dog film before the CGI and it’s absolutely terrifying."

Another user pointed out the usage of BTS' song "Dynamite" during the trailer:

One person wrote, "i'm sorry to say this but if clifford the big red dog came to my town i'm sorry but i would gather a posse and kill him i'm sorry but it's not right how big he is."

Another user hilariously badly Photoshopped the big red dog falling down the Met Gala stairs:

One person added the BTS song on top of a Robot Chicken skit:

Clifford the Big Red Dog releases in theatres September 17.
