Florida Everblades Game 4: ‘Doing What Needs to be Done’
After a 4-2 win against the Orlando Solar Bears last night at the Kia Center, the Florida Everblades in game 4 are aiming to “close this thing out” in a potential series sweep. Orlando Solar Bears v.s. Florida Everblades game 4 is Thursday night at 7pm.
“They played us hard, but we found a way to win and that was the most important thing,” said Everblades forward Matt Wedman in a post-game interview.
Game 3 Notes
Last night the Solar Bears put forth their best effort thus far in the series by taking less penalties, connecting more passes, and utilizing calmer gameplay.
“I think they just made some adjustments you know…” said Everblades forward Sean Josling. “We were playing with it a little bit too much at the blue lines and just feeding their offense.”
But the Everblades aren’t a circumstantial team.
“I think if we just keep playing the way we’re playing, we’ll be able to get out of here in 4, ” said Josling.
This type of unwavering confidence means that through the fight that the Solar Bears had in game 3 and will present in game 4, the Everblades can deliver in the times when it matters because of their ability to trust and build off each other.
A clear example of this was the first goal of game 3 against the Solar Bears.
Everblades defenseman Zach Uens capitalized off empty space in Orlando’s defensive zone by building off a tipped pass that was meant for Ho-Sang.
But this type of gameplay has been consistent throughout the Everblades’ playoff presence by being a reflection of the first goal in game 7 against the Jacksonville Icemen.

“We just gotta keep doing what we’ve been doing, close this thing out and don’t give them a chance or hope,” said Wedman. “We know how to close the series and that’s what we’re going to do Thursday.”
This type of attitude and consistent gameplay is exactly what we can expect from the Everblades in game 4 at Orlando’s Kia Center, 7:00 p.m.
