4 Bubbles For A Sparkling New Years Celebration
Sparkling wines and Champagne are a quintessential part of ringing in the New Year. To help you pick the right ones to serve or consume this year, here are 4 bubbles for a sparkling New Years celebration. They range in price depending on how much you want to spend on this year’s party.
I like to have options so I’ll have several bottles on ice. A good rule of thumb is to open the best bottles first, while your palate is still fresh and able to appreciate the subleties of a good wine.
French Bubbles For A Sparkling New Years
Let’s begin with Champagne. Created in 1912, Telmont Champagne not only has a great flavor profile, but it’s also a pioneering French brand. All the grapes are organic, the bottles are made from recycled glass and the winery uses renewably sourced electricity among other things designed to have minimal impact on the environment.
In fact their efforts at sustainability are award winning.
French Can Can is a new, organic sparkling wine I’ve been enjoying from the Languedoc region in Southern France. It’s made by Gerard Bertrand and there are three different bottlings. They make good sparkling cocktails too.
Italian Bubbles For A Sparkling New Years
Let’s look at some prosecco options that are both easy to find and affordable for the New Year. La Marca Prosecco might be one of the more recognizable labels on store shelves. The winery has been making prosecco near the Adriatic Sea since the late 1960’s. It’s one of the top selling Proseccos in the U.S.
Valdo Valdobbiadene has an interesting history. The winery was founded by the well-known Bolla family in the late 1800’s. It’s in the heart of the Prosecco region in Conegliano Valdobbiadene. This one also comes in a floral and fruity rose.
No matter what kind of bubbles you serve, be sure to keep them cold and enjoy popping those corks. Cheers to 2025 and lots more sparkling wine to celebrate with.
