Sources with the Austin Texas Police Department have confirmed that the bombing suspect who has terrorized the city since early this month is believed to be dead in an incident involving officers in Round Rock Texas. We don’t have a lot of details, but apparently police were closing in on the suspect when he killed himself and his car exploded. The five explosions the suspect was involved in killed 2 people and injured six others.
Following the announcement of 3 arrests at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School yesterday, Governor Rick Scott has requested that armed guards be placed at every entrance of the school which was rocked by a a gunman last month who killed 17 people. Police say a student made a threat on social media and was arrested, and two others were arrested for bringing knives to school.
Bonita Springs has a new council member following yesterday’s election, Laura Carr won 72 percent of the vote. Current council members Mike Gibson and Amy Quaremba ran unopposed. Voter turnout was only 13 percent.
Lee County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of 18 year old Willie Davis who was involved in a June 2017 homicide at the Lago De Sol Apartments. Davis is accused of shooting Tanner Crowley, ploice linked Davis to the crime through forensic evidence.
