The Florida Senate has passed a bill that will permit police to stop drivers for texting while driving. The bill will now go to the House for review and a vote.

 

 

58 year old Michael O’Conner of Naples has been arrested for allegedly stabbing a customer in the drive-thru lane at a Culver’s on US 41 in Naples earlier this week. According to the Collier County Police O’Conner stabbed the victim because their order was taking too long.  The victim, who was not identified, was stabbed in the hand and required extensive surgery.

 

Coastal Village, a student living facility in Estero was raided by the FBI yesterday afternoon. Police were looking for a resident of the complext who apparently wasn’t home at the time of the raid. No further information is available.

 

A 16 year old student at Mariner High School was arrested after bringing a taser to school. The student said it was for protection, nonetheless, the student was  arrested and booked on charges of possession of a weapon on school grounds.

Britney Spears Leaves Mental Health Treatment Facility After 1 Month

  • Britney Spears has left the mental health treatment facility she’s been at for the past month. Spears was seen leaving with boyfriend Sam Asghari, the couple headed to her Thousand Oaks, California home after her release.
  • The doctors made sure she had the proper medications and tools in order to continue on the path of success.

 

McDonald’s teams up with the AARP to hire older workers

  • McDonald’s is trying to make it an easy playing field for older workers.
  • They are teaming up with AARP to hire workers over 50.
  • Jobs will be posted on the nonprofit’s website for those that are interested in applying.
  • McDonald’s is looking to fill positions for the morning and afternoon shift.

 

Which State is Most Dangerous for Online Dating?

  • If you’re looking for love online, you may wanto to start looking for a new beau in one of the New England states.  For the second year in a row, Vermont is ranked the safest place for online dating, according to HighSpeedInternet.com.  Stats on internet crimes, STDs and sex/HIV education were compiled to make the list of online dating safety by U.S. state.
  • West Virginia came in at number two on the list, followed by New Hampshire and Maine.  The worst state for online dating?  Alaska, where there’s a high STD rate and in Anchorage, where 1 in 82 people have the chance of being a victim of violent crime.

 

Company Will Fake Your Vacation For Social Media

  • No money to go to Hawaii? No time to visit the Grand Canyon? That’s ok. A company will make it look like you went.
  • The folks at Fake A Vacation will superimpose pictures of you at vacation destinations so you can post them on social media.
  • Some people do it because they had to cancel a vacation at the last minute. Others do it just to be phony.
  • A survey said 10 percent of people have put up fake vacation pictures on Facebook or Instagram.
