Christmas arrives at Sunny 106.3. The big switch happened at 5pm Friday, 11-11-22. I constantly talk about never knowing what I’m going to walk into in the morning. This is what the studio looks like this morning. Talk about a Monday Funday. How can you be in a bad mood when you walk into this?
Deciding when to flip the switch to Christmas music was a tightly kept secret in the hallways here at Sunny. Thanks to everyone who participated in our Guess the Flip Contest. Actually, there were NINE people who picked the Friday flip. The winning name was drawn randomly from those nine. Big congratulations to Louisiane Tascher. Louisiane wins a weekend getaway at the beautiful Gaylord Palms Resort near Orlando.

“Given what our community has endured over the last several weeks, we are looking forward to bringing our listeners some joy and holiday spirit with seasonal favorites”, said WJPT-FM Program Director, Tom Calococci. “We are proud to continue our annual tradition of sharing holiday cheer on Sunny 106.3.”
“When the decorations start to go up, we want to make sure our community has their favorite holiday music to play,” said Vice President and Market Manager AJ Lurie. “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!”

It’s more than just Christmas Music at Sunny 106.3. This is Southwest Florida’s official Christmas station so we’ve got a few contests and lots more fun for the holiday. For instance, Christmas Across The Lands is back. It’s a special holiday show that airs four times throughout the season. You wont want to miss it.
