Dasha is one of the newest arrivals to the Gulf Coast Humane Society (GCHS) in Fort Myers and just went up for adoption. She was accompanied to the Sunny studios this morning by GCHS Executive Director Darcy Andrade and promptly won all of our hearts.
Dasha had a sleep over with Darcy’s dogs last night and by all accounts it was a success. She adapted well to other dogs and quickly bonded with Darcy. That is one of the cool things about this dog. She comes off as rather shy at first. But comes around fast to be quite loving and loyal.
AND, she didn’t bark like some Chihuahuas are known too. Of course, that could change once she gets settled into a new space.

The Sunny 106.3 Pet of the Month is a Chihuahua mix, weighing a little less than 10 pounds. She is a great size if you live in a small space and want a lap dog. At about 2 1/2 years old, she playful and energetic but not over bearing.
She likes to snuggle and burrow under the covers. The sweet dog did well in the car and was good on a leash too. The name was just given to her so if Dasha doesn’t resonate with you, she’ll be able to adapt if you change it.
