There are few things in the world I like more than a nice juicy burger and Reader’s Digest just released their list of the Best Burger in Every State so of course I had to dig in and find the best in Florida.
To compile their list of the best burgers from coast to coast, they looked at places most loved and reviewed by patrons and also burger joints that have been given awards by critics or at competitions.
In Florida, if you’re looking for a taste of the Best Burger according to Reader’s Digest, then a trip to either Boca Raton or Islamorada will be necessary to M.E.A.T. Eatery & Tap Room. With every burger, they brand “meat” into the bun and their specialty is a single or double Nancy Pants with Cheese—a five-ounce Angus burger, American cheese, lettuce and tomato.
Not only is M.E.A.T. being featured on this list, but they’ve also been on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives. In addition to burgers, they’re known for their smoked wings and homemade pork rinds. M.E.A.T. also carries craft beers, microbrewed sodas, organic wines and fresh made ice cream.
