It’s hard to believe Florida has been hit by two major hurricanes in a two-week span. We understand that much of this weekend will be spent cleaning up from the storms. If you were spared damage, please help others who were not so fortunate. Then, when you need a break, find out what events are on and off in SWFL this weekend after Hurricane Milton.

As you might expect, some events are being rescheduled or cancelled altogether because of storm damage. It might be physical damage, or even power outages. This list may change so keep checking back for updates.

This Weekend After Hurricane Milton In SWFL

There is a music festival this weekend in Cape Coral. At the time of publication, it was still on. A 5k race for Breast Cancer awareness in Bonita has been postponed.

In addition, there are numerous Fall and Halloween events that kick off this weekend. Others are ongoing all month long. Click here for a complete list of all of those seasonal events. Just keep in mind the times may’ve changed. In addition, some could be temporarily closed. Please check individual websites and social media platforms to confirm before you leave the house.

  • Lakes Park Fall Festival

    Lakes Park Fall Festival kicks off this weekend with a roster of fun planned. There is a pumpkin patch, hayrides and a Halloween Express train ride too. The park comes alive with inflatables and creative scarecrows too. Scarecrow in the Park is an annual competition that you can even vote on. This year’s theme is The Great Outdoors. October 11th-31st. Lakes Park is in Fort Myers on Gladiolus Drive. More info here.

  • Boo-Tanical weekend at Wonder Gardens, Bonita Springs-CANCELED

    The Naples Wonder Gardens gets decked out for the event while providing special programing, games and activities for the entire family. Halloween candy is from brands that support sustainable palm oil production and distribution. Paper bags provided for children to collect it. Opening is October 11 from 5-8pm and one of the few times the gardens are open at night. Then Oct 12th and 13th from 11am to 2pm.  Costumes are encouraged. Free for Wonder Gardens members. Regular admission for non-members. More info here

  • Mercato Pumpkin Patch

    Mercato’s annual Pumpkin Patch opens this weekend. Find a pumpkin that speaks to you and you also help animals. Money from every pumpkin sold goes to SNIP (Spay & Neuter Pet Initiative) Collier, a nonprofit pet rescue. Mercato is in North Naples, Free. Pumpkin Patch opens Saturday and runs through October 20th. Hours vary so check the website. More info here

  • 13th Annual 239 Fest- POSTPONED

    239 Fest is all about music. Music such as ska, punk, rock and reggae. More than a dozen bands are scheduled to play two stages at Rack’em Spirits & Times in Cape Coral. Music starts at 8 p.m. Friday, and 5 p.m. Saturday. Free.  More info here.

  • Coconuts 4 A Cure 5K & One Mile Run-POSTPONED

    Coconuts 4 A Cure 5K + 1M Run is planned to raise awareness for Breast Cancer and support the Lee Health Cancer Institute. It was scheduled for Sunday. A new date has not been scheduled. More info here.
