A Warning To All Amazon Prime Members
An Amazon Prime member recently shared a concerning email claiming to be from Amazon.
A screenshot of the email was posted on Facebook by Michelle LeBlanc. Since then, several other people have reshared her post, saying that they too had received the phony email.
The email is in response to the customer’s Amazon Prime membership and says that Amazon is unable to bill the $10.99 monthly membership fee to the card listed on the account.
The email goes on to say that the member’s Prime membership has been suspended, and if they don’t update their payment info within seven days, their Prime membership will be canceled.
A link to update payment information is “conveniently” provided in the email. And while the email looks legit, it’s another scam with the intention to steal your personal data.
Remember, if you have any concerns about any online account, you should login to the site directly — Rather than clicking on a link in an email.
