Study Says Watching “KUWTK” Can Make You a Worse Person
A recent study has found that watching “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” can make you less sympathetic to people that are poor. Researchers in the study concluded that just a mere 60 seconds of shows that “glamorize fame, luxury, and wealth” is enough to increase anti-welfare beliefs. What if you’re a loyal fan of the shows, but these results worry you? Well, Laurel Steinberg, a New York therapist says, “remember to look down the mountain rather than up. Sure there are a few super wealthy people at the tippy-top, but most people of the world lie below.” What are your thoughts on this study? Do you find yourself wanting more of the expensive things in life after watching these type reality shows?
