Police are continuing to look into the death of a diver who passed away during a dive off Sanibel yesterday. The man’s body was found just after 1pm. He has not been identified.

Police were busy yesterday conducting drug raids in the Pine Manor neighborhood, site of several shootings and drug arrests over the past several weeks. Police seized Fentanyl and made several arrests.

Big real estate purchase in downtown Fort Myers as the Florida Repertory Theater has purchased the Arcade Theater. The purchase was made possible by funds gifted from anonymous donors. the purchase price…$15 million!!

 

Beth Chapman, well known wife of bounty hunter Duane “Dog” Chapman has died after a long battle with cancer. She was just 51.

 

  • Beth Chapman, who starred alongside her husband in the reality show, Dog The Bounty Hunter died on Wednesday.
  • She died from complications to cancer.
  • Her husband wrote on Twitter, it’s 5:32 in Hawaii this is the time she would wake up to go hike Koko Head mountain. Only today she hiked the stairway to heaven. We all love you, Beth. See you on the other side.
  • They were working on a spinoff, “Dog’s Most Wanted.” It was set to debut in 2020. It is not known how Beth’s death will impact that show.

 

‘ALF’ Star Max Wright Dies

  • Actor Max Wright, best known for playing the overwhelmed dad on the 1980s sitcom “ALF,” has died after a long battle with cancer.
  • The 75-year-old passed away Wednesday in his Hermosa Beach, California home, his family says. He had been diagnosed with Lymphoma in 1995, but it went into remission for several years before recently coming back. Wright’s death comes less than two years after his wife of 52 years, Linda Ybarrondo, died from breast cancer.
  • In addition to his role as Willie Tanner on “ALF,” Wright had 64 credits to his name. He made appearances on such shows as “Cheers” and “Buffalo Bill,” and also turned up in big-screen ventures like “All that Jazz” and “Soul Man.”

 

 

Poll Says Americans Are Angrier Than We Used To Be

  • Does it seems like everyone’s angry these days”  According to a new poll, it’s not just your imagination.
  • A new survey found that 84 percent of people are angrier today compared to a generation ago, which leaves experts concerned about the possible health risks of so much anger.
  • So what makes us so mad?  More than 70 percent said they sometimes get angry checking the news.  And 90 percent said they’re more likely to vent that anger on social media.

 

 

eBay, Target To Challenge Amazon Prime Day

  • eBay is not going to let Amazon give all the deals away during Prime Day.
  • To compete with Amazon’s mega-sale on July 15th and 16th, eBay has announced their Crash Sale.
  • eBay is promising discounts of up to 80 percent on items from Apple, Samsung, Garmin, and others.
  • The Crash Sale will wrap around several weeks of eBay having different sales on products. Not to be outdone, Target is challenging Amazon Prime Day with Deal Days. Target is offering “discounts on hundreds of thousands of items.”

 

 

 

Scented Flatulence Pills’ Make Your Gas Smell Like Roses

  • Tired of killing the mood by breaking wind at the wrong moment?  A new pill will make that fart smell like a bed of roses.
  • At least, that’s the claim being made by Christian Poincheval, the French man who invented the pill, called PilulePet.
  • Poincheval says the pills are made with natural ingredients and will give your gas a more pleasant smell.  A variety of different scents are available, including rose, ginger, and chocolate.  They sell for about $17 per pack.
  • Poincheval came up with the idea in 2007 after a he and his friends “nearly asphyxiated ourselves with our smelly farts” after a meal, disturbing nearby tables.

 

Wedding Has 34 Bridesmaids

  • A recent wedding is capturing attention because the bride had 34 bridesmaids.
  • Casme Carter from New Orleans had a destination wedding in Destin, Florida.
  • Carter took pictures on the beach with all of her ladies with her.
  • After the story started going viral, Casme said, “I’m very humbled and honored that people are inspired by our story. I never had a number in my head. I just had a group of women that I wanted to be included in my day.” By the way, the husband had 12 groomsmen.
