The CDC Suggests You Have Thanksgiving Outside
Get your outdoor patio heaters ready because the CDC is recommending that people should have Thanksgiving outside to help combat the spread of the coronavirus.
They state on their website that the safest way to celebrate Thanksgiving this year is to celebrate with just the people in your household. But if you do invite other guests or are invited somewhere outside of your home, they recommend that you practice social distancing, wash your hands, and wear a mask like normal.
They also suggest some other tips to follow:
If you go to someone’s house, bring your own food, drinks, utensils, and cups.
Avoid going into the kitchen or in the area when the food is being prepared and handled.
Use single-use salad dressings and condiment packets.
Use disposable food containers and plates.
Keep windows open if you are celebrating indoors.
Consider getting a flu shot before you travel.
