Can’t Sleep? These Scientific Tips Will Help You Get Some Shut Eye
Struggling with a restful sleep schedule? These tips from Lee Health can help.
We’ve all been here–going to bed early due to a big meeting the following day, wanting to be well-rested, but not being able to fall asleep.
The first tip is to stay in bed and try to sleep, right?
WRONG!
A video posted by Business Insider reveals scientific ways that will help us all stay well-rested.
First and foremost, don’t STAY IN BED! Get up!
The anxiety we feel when we’re unable to escape to dream-land can lead to negative thoughts about our sleeping area.
So get up, go sit on the couch and do something quiet. Don’t scroll through social media, as this can overstimulate our brains and prevent us from being able to decompress.
Try meditating. Having a consistent routine each night before bedtime will also help regulate our sleep schedules.
