Coors Light Introduces Beer-Flavored Lollipops For March Madness
If you like Coors Light and lollipops, then today is your lucky day.
Coors Brewing Company has introduced “Chillollipops,” a lollipop crafted to actually taste like Coors Light. They currently run $3.17 for a six-pack and will be available through the end of the NCAA Tournament. A trip to Coors’ website shows that the pops are currently out of stock, so fingers crossed they get more in before the games conclude.
The Chillollipops actually don’t have alcohol, but Coors says they’re still for customers 21 and up. Their official website states the lollipops have a “frothy foam top, similar to the experience of drinking a Coors Light from a pint.”
“March is one of the most stressful times of the year for a college basketball fan,” Marcelo Pascoa, vice president of marketing for the Coors Family of Brands, said in a statement. “During all the incredible highs and lows of March basketball, Coors Light is the brand to bring a moment of chill. Whether in the form of a Chillollipop to bring the calm, or a mountain-cold Coors Light to refresh spirits.”
He added, “Will it work? We don’t know, but we can’t imagine anyone has ever been unhappy or angry with a lollipop in their mouth, so we wanted to give the Coors Light Chillollipop experiment a try.”
