Taco Bell Fans Beg Chain for Return of Classic Menu Item
Okay all my Florida Taco Bell fans! There’s a glimmer of hope for those of you like me still mourning the loss of the Meximelt. I was just at a Taco Bell in Cape Coral and they didn’t have it. Then I went all the way to Fort Myers. No luck there. What’s the deal? Do I need to go to Orlando or something? No. Come to find out this beloved fast food option has been off the menu since 2019! Now I’m left with a flavor void that just can’t be filled. Maybe not, because According to The U.S. Sun, a petition on Change.org with almost 1,500 signatures is begging the chain to bring back the dish that was a menu staple for 30 years.
If you’re not familiar with the Meximelt, let me paint a picture for you. It was a delectable combination of pico de gallo, a three-cheese blend, and seasoned ground beef all wrapped up in a flour tortilla. Some have described it as a cross between a taco and a quesadilla, but we like to think of it as a little slice of heaven on earth. Sadly, it was silently discontinued in 2019 without explanation, leaving die-hard fans heartbroken.
Taco Bell Fans:
But the Meximelt isn’t the only thing that’s got Taco Bell customers feeling betrayed. The recent announcement that the Nachos Bell Grande has been removed from the rewards menu has left many customers feeling like they’ve been punched in the gut. I mean, who doesn’t love the crunch of tortilla chips covered in seasoned beef, tomatoes, sour cream, and nacho cheese? Apparently, Taco Bell doesn’t think it’s worth the points anymore.
Now, we know what you’re thinking. “But wait, there’s good news, right?” Well, kind of. The chain is bringing back a previously discontinued taco in August, following a fan vote. And if you’re in the mood for breakfast, there’s a new wrap available. It puts a flavorful spin on classic morning items.
But let’s be real, what we really want is the Meximelt. Customers are taking to Reddit to express their longing for the dish, with one person admitting, “I miss them so much.” Another customer, who happens to work at Taco Bell, revealed that “a lot of customers are very upset.” So come on, Taco Bell, don’t leave us hanging. Bring back the Meximelt and make your customers’ dreams come true. Who knows, maybe they’ll reward you with enough points for some Nachos Bell Grande.
Who could forget this Blast From the past?
