Man Flies To Florida To Steal A Bentley, Said He Planned On “Making Payments”
You stole a $177,000 dollar Bentley from Jupiter Island, Florida and then you wrecked it? I’ll let the Martin County Sheriff’s Office tell the story.
“45-year old Ronald Bordelon flew in from Volney La Marque, Texas to the sunshine state with one thing on his mind….a Bentley. The Texas barber claimed he was working at his barber business called “P’s Chop Shop” when he got a call that his dream car was available. So he wrapped up a cut, crafted a deal and jumped on a flight to Florida.
His story had some holes though. Bordelon couldn’t say who called him, who he bought it from, or where he bought it. It seems it was just given to him by a real life Bentley fairy who agreed to let him make payments. But he didn’t have many payment details either, and his barber shop, P’s Chop Shop, well….he couldn’t tell us too much about that either. So we helped him fill in those holes with the real story of the Bentley.
The high end vehicle, valued at $177,000, was stolen from a home on Jupiter Island, the VIN number was covered by tape and the temporary plate was invalid. The driver at the time of the traffic stop, Ronald Bordelon is not, was not, and is not likely to ever be the future owner of this particular car. In a nutshell, Ronald Bordelon’s trip back to “P’s Chop Shop” was going to be Bentley-less and his excitement chopped a little short.
Ronald Bordelon was arrested and charged with Grand Theft Auto/over $100,000.”
First up, if you plan on dealing in high end stolen cars like this Bentley, maybe don’t name your business “Chop Shop.”
That’s a little obvious. Secondly, it’s very hard to steal these high end cars. They all come with trackers. My car has an app that tells me everything. It probably took the owner about 10 seconds to ping the car and alert the authorities.
And you wrecked it. It’s gonna take more than a fresh coating of Angel Wax to clean that up. Dammit man. Show some respect.
