Say No to Drinking and Driving with AAA’s Tow to Go Program
Drinking and driving is not only a dangerous choice but also one that can have devastating consequences. The risks of impaired judgment, slowed reaction times, and compromised motor skills make it clear that getting behind the wheel after consuming alcohol is a terrible decision. AAA launches Tow to Go, say no to drinking and driving
AAA is launching its Tow to Go program in several states, including Michigan, Florida, and Georgia. They’re doing it for the 25th year in a row, offering free assistance to people who have car troubles or might be a little too tipsy to drive.
With Tow to Go, you’ve got a lifesaver when it comes to getting home safely. This service can give you and your car a ride to a secure spot within a ten-mile radius for free. Whether you’re an AAA member or not, Tow to Go is available to everyone.
If you didn’t plan ahead
Keep in mind that you can’t schedule an appointment in advance. It’s meant to be a safety net for those who didn’t plan ahead. If you find yourself in a pinch and need a reliable ride after having a few, just reach out to Tow to Go, and they’ll be there to help you out.
“By providing this program, AAA gives drivers no excuse for driving under the influence of drugs, alcohol or impairing medications,” said Adrienne Woodland, spokeswoman, AAA – The Auto Club Group. “However, we remind people to treat Tow to Go as a last resort. Instead, make advanced plans for a safe ride home.”

You can find this helpful program in Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Michigan, North Dakota, Nebraska, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Colorado (specifically Denver), North Carolina (specifically Charlotte), or Indiana (specifically Fort Wayne/South Bend).
From 6 p.m. on Friday, June 30, to 6 a.m. on Wednesday, July 5, you can count on Tow to Go to be there when you need it most. However, this service might not be available in rural areas or during severe weather conditions.
