Florida Tiny House Hotel Named A Best In America
A recent report by Shermans Travel detailed the ten best Tiny House hotels in America, and a Florida destination made the list. “Tiny homes are one of the hottest residential design trends right now,” they explain.
In addition, Realtor.com published a story last year that gave readers a glimpse of what exactly is going on with the Tiny House trend in America. What qualifies as a Tiny House? Typically, they are from 100 to 400 square feet. Many of them (though not all) are situated in quieter areas. It is very common to find tiny home communities tucked within nature, in a peaceful and serene setting.
Other common attributes include creative ways to establish storage space and loft beds. They are often energy-efficient simply due to the smaller footprint requiring less utility power.
“If you’re considering the tiny-home lifestyle, take it for a test drive before you hire a builder and go all-in,” Realtor explained. That is another reason why it is helpful to have such Tiny House hotel options. It gives those who are interested a chance to try it out.
Tiny House Village – Sunshine Key, Florida
This village is located on Ohio Key and consists of five Tiny House options. Each of them is named and has a different vibrant color. The interior is colorful and bright as well. Shermans Travel explains that although each Tiny House has its own character, they all contain French doors that “help coax the outdoors in.”
They are priced between $250-$300 per night. Each accommodation at Tiny House Village is “full of personality and charm, and makes for the ultimate relaxation destination.” Furthermore, this hotel location is near Bahia Honda State Park and approximately 30 miles from Key West.
Tiny House Village resort is on a Marina, so the Gulf of Mexico is at your fingertips. The official address is 38801 Overseas Highway in Big Pine Key, FL.

3 Florida Courses Named Most Affordable Golf Destinations
We are officially one week into National Golf Month. To celebrate this and inspire you to hit the links, Home To Go published a report that details the most affordable golf destinations and three Florida courses made the list.
“The ranking explores the affordability of green fees, golf carts, club rentals and nearby accommodations, so you can stay on the green and out of the debt bunker,” they explain. To compile this information Home To Go analyzed these four categories and then compiled a list of the 40 most affordable rounds. Furthermore, they listed that the Naples and Marco Island area has the most golf courses per capita in the country. There are 69 golf courses in that metro area.
Golf Traditions
The sport of golf has many unique components that separate it from many other activities. Hitting the links can be a casual day out among friends, or a highly competitive tournament. Either way it certainly takes practice and skill to master. Furthermore, there are traditions to the game that are respected widely across the globe. In addition to proper golf attire and etiquette, golfers are expected to follow the guidelines each course lays out. Many of these are standard, but different course layouts and features then factor into what the cost to play is.
In Florida, the three courses that named among the 40 most affordable golf destinations in America are actually in two locations. To clarify, two of these course are along the same east coast club grounds. They are among a group of 30 PGA courses that the pros play, and then are open to public usage. Then, if you head about 225 miles south, you will come across the third Florida course to make the list. This popular destination is only an hour outside the Tampa area.
Golf excursions can get quite expensive. So, if you are understandably budgeting your next golf trip to Florida, these three destinations are worth considering given their overall affordability.
