Bear-ly Believable! Magic Kingdom Shuts Down as Bear Runs Amok
Disney’s Magic Kingdom had its own version of “Bear Necessities” this Monday, and it wasn’t your usual Disney-themed parade. It was a real-life bear that decided to take a detour through the happiest place on Earth. Talk about a wild ride!
It all started when a bear, just like the “The Jungle Book,” decided to make a guest appearance at the Magic Kingdom. Now, this wasn’t your average, run-of-the-mill bear; this bear had ambitions, and it was determined to be the star of the show.
According to WESH, their very own Chopper 2, was right on the scene, capturing all the action. Fish and Wildlife experts were called in to deal with the furry guy!
Magic Kingdom Lock Down:
Walt Disney World had to break the news to park-goers that their day of enchantment might come with unexpected wildlife. Some areas were closed, while other lines were a bit longer than normal. Imagine waiting for Space Mountain and hearing a bear-themed announcement: “Ladies and gentlemen, please keep your hands and legs inside the vehicle at all times, and be on the lookout for any hungry bears.”
After consulting with state animal experts (who probably asked Snow White), Disney decided to reopen Frontierland, Liberty Square, and Adventureland. Because what’s a trip to Disney without a little adventure, right?
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission assured everyone that the bear was just looking for a snack when it ventured into Disney territory. And while they usually let bears be bears, this time they decided to give the bear a one-way ticket to a new neighborhood. The Ocala National Forest.
It seems like the Disney bear adventure of a lifetime! Where “bear-ly” controlled chaos met the magic of Disney. Now, who’s up for a bear hunt on their next Disney vacation? Just kidding. Just stick to the Country Bear Jamboree. Much safer that way.
The Top 15 Most Popular Rides At Disney World
It’s nearly impossible to go to Disney World in Orlando and ride everything in all the parks in a single visit. I did it once, but it’ll never happen again. It was about 10 years ago when Magic Bands first came out. For some reason they wanted to show them off to radio dj’s in Fort Myers. The two of us were given Magic Bands with unlimited park hopper, unlimited fast passes and no scheduling. We did the Aerosmith coaster 3 times and I think we rode Expedition Everest 5 times in a row. No lie, we got off, and walked right back on. it was crazy. I doubt that’ll ever happen again. We did so many rides at Disney World we were exhausted.
Now you need to choose what to do. And do your research so you can get to do what you want. There’s a new study out that ranks the popularity of Walt Disney World Rides. The crazy part of this list is that the top ride no longer exists. Did I give it away? Read on.
The research, conducted by Disney travel planning experts MagicGuides, examined every ride from all four theme parks at Walt Disney World Resort, Orlando – Magic Kingdom Park, Epcot, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios –based on three key factors: Instagram hashtags, Tripadvisor ratings and average monthly search volume for each ride. These factors were combined in an index to give each ride a total score to discover the most popular rides at Disney World.
One thing to note.
6 of the Top 10 most popular rides are in Magic Kingdom. So, if you can only do one park, that might be the one. Here’s the Top 15, including a POV video of each. Plus a bonus at the end.
