Rolling Stones: See Video for ‘Mess It Up’ Starring Nicholas Hoult
The Rolling Stones’ latest cinematic music video from their album Hackney Diamonds is for the track “Mess It Up.”
The video stars Nicholas Hoult, who’s appeared in a number of recent films and TV shows, including The Great, Renfield and The Menu. You may also remember him as Marcus Brewer from 2002’s About a Boy. Of course, he’s all grown up now.
The video opens with Hoult arguing with a woman, who appears to be his girlfriend or spouse, in their home. He then leaves the house in a huff and then proceeds to dance and walk across a number of landscapes. Hoult then ends up on a beach and is now rocking a beard, which gives the impression he’s traveled by foot across a country a la Forrest Gump.
He then has a eureka moment at the beach and begins the long trek back to that house. We won’t spoil the twist ending, so just watch the video and see for yourself how this tale ends.
