The Super Bowl Scenario That Would Mean the End of the World is Near
Every generation tends to think, at some point at least, that the end of the world is near. Well, my friend, the time is here. It’s time for us to believe and perhaps accept the fact that the end of the world is coming. Why, you ask? Because there’s a Super Bowl scenario brewing that truly nobody could have ever expected. If this happens, we’re doomed. But, hey, it will be worth it. So, let’s party like it’s the end of the world and get into this Super Bowl scenario.
Super Bowl LVIII is approaching. I think the Baltimore Ravens will be difficult to beat. But there’s a team out there that’s already beaten the Ravens, and they could do it again.
I’m talking about the Cleveland Browns. The Browns took down the Ravens on Nov. 12. Right now, as I’m writing this article, the Browns are 11-5. That’s darn good. In comparison, the Ravens are 13-3. Very close. The Cleveland Browns have never played in a Super Bowl. Still, they’ve won eight championships: four in the AAFC and four in the NFL. But, the tide is turning, both for the Browns and another team that’s never been to the Big Game.
That other team, of course, is the Detroit Lions. Everyone is talking about the Lions this year. As of this article’s publication date, the Lions are 11-5. (You could call them 12-4, if you think the Cowboys 2-point conversation call was bunk.) To get to the Super Bowl, the Lions will likely have to get past either the 49ers, Eagles or Cowboys. All three of those teams have proven they’re beatable this season. I think the 49ers would be the most difficult out of that bunch, but not impossible.
So, here we are. It’s a moment when we could actually see a Browns vs. Lions Super Bowl. Pinch yourself. It’s true. I’m all for it. Hey, we’ve been living in an era of “unprecedented” events, so why not add one more? Go Lions and Browns. Let me know what you think on Facebook here or elsewhere here. Find the Week 18 games here.
