Florida Restaurants Named In Yelp’s Top 100 Of 2024
With the start of a new year, we see a nice mix of shout-outs in January. This includes “best of” features from the previous year, and then other what we have to look forward to this year. Yelp recently published the top 100 restaurants of 2024, and two Florida establishments made the top 20.
Coming in at number 5 was Fratellino, in Coral Gables. Then, Mio’s Grill and Cafe in St. Petersburg ranked 12th.
To compile this list, Yelp stuck with its community engagement strategy. “This year, our huge, food-loving community reviewed and rated their faves from coast to coast, so you can find lots of new restaurants to love, whether you’re at home or on the road,” they explained.
This final compilation is vast and, as you can imagine, covers just about every food group. Specifically, Yelp calls out how popular noodles seem to be in addition to Latin cuisine.
Here is what you need to know about these two Florida restaurants that made the top 20 of Yelp’s 100 restaurants of the year.
Fratellino
This is a family-owned restaurant located on Coral Way along the Miracle Mile. Fratellino Ristorante literally brings you inside and gives you a seat at their family table. Their authentic family recipes are homemade pastas, risotto, and veal shanks. Seafood options such as salmon, scallops, and sea bass are also quite popular. Specialty items like gorgonzola filet mignon and apple tart with vanilla gelato almost look too nice to dig into.
Mio’s Grill and Café
Nestled into 119 2nd St N, in St. Petersburg, you will find Mio’s Grill and Café. This is a Mediterranean restaurant that now has a Clearwater location as well.
“You’ll feel like you’re on a Mediterranean vacation while dining at this “incredible little place” that exudes authenticity—from the food to the Turkish music and decor,” Yelp said.
Here, you will find a decadent array of falafel, gyros, and baklava. Greek salads are also incredibly popular at Mio’s.

Florida Has 2 Of The Most Beautiful Bridges In The Country
According to Infrastructure Report Card, there are 617,000 bridges in the United States. Outlets such as Attractions of America and Mr. Hudson have each come up with lists of the most beautiful bridges. Two of them call Florida home.
A bridge can be a historical landmark in addition to a pathway that connects communities. Certain bridges, like the Golden Gate in San Francisco, draw thousands of tourists each year. People plan trips around visiting this site and taking in its incredible views. Unsurprisingly, the Golden Gate Bridge is either #1 or #2 on each of the aforementioned lists.
The bridge that it shares the top spot with is famous for its ability to walk or bike over. The Brooklyn Bridge connects Brooklyn Heights to Manhattan via six lanes. Many charity-driven bike rides also cross here as it offers unique perspectives into New York City without any tollways.
Florida Bridges
In Florida, American Road and Transportation lists over 12,000 bridges in the Sunshine State (though not all of them are in functional condition). There are two however, that stand above the rest. One is architecturally astounding. The other feels like a gateway into a mysterious paradise.
“American bridges are often designed with looks to match their engineering ingenuity,” Mr. Hudson explains.
What’s fascinating about bridges in America, is they are constructed of different materials and serve different purposes. For example, the final and tenth selection in Attractions of America’s feature is the Benson Bridge, Multnomah Falls, in Oregon. This is a foot traffic bridge that is only 45 feet long. It allows visitors to walk 105 feet above the Lower Multnomah Falls cascade
Let’s take a look at the two most beautiful bridges in Florida.
