Man Who Crashed Tesla Into Parked Fire Truck Had an Excuse
37-year-old Michael Tran crashed his Tesla into a parked fire truck in San Jose, California on Saturday at about 1:00am. Authorities say Tran told them, “I think I had auto-pilot on.” Tran was later arrested for suspected drunk driving. Two firefighters on the truck were not injured. Tesla’s auto-pilot mode has been the subject of discussion because of recent crashes. The car company says drivers should not rely on it completely and the function doesn’t avoid accidents. Does your car have any driver-assist features? Do you love them or hate them? Would you rather not have them at all?
