Baystate Health in Western Massachusetts has a new code, “Code Rocky.” The code celebrates successful discharges home from all units caring for COVID-19 patients. “Cody Rocky” is a symbol of hope and perseverance for all.
The code is announced over the intercom along with the introduction to Bill Conti’s “Gonna Fly Now,” which is the theme from the movie Rocky.
We have a new code, CODE ROCKY! Every time a #COVID19 positive patient is well enough to go home, the code is called along with the Rocky theme song. As one of our employees said, “This is what my heart needed. Thank you Baystate healthcare workers for making a difference!” pic.twitter.com/WgKmmsFIhD
