Happy Mother’s Day this weekend to all of the moms! In honor of this very special day, Billboard has released a 20 song playlist dedicated to mothers. There is plenty of variety here, as all moms and mom-lovers should be able to find their groove within the playlist, no matter what kind of music they prefer. A Mothers Day Playlist.
Here they are (in the order Billboard placed them in, which seems like no particular order):
1. “Dear Mama”, 2Pac
2. “Mama”, The-Dream
3. “The Perfect Fan”, Backstreet Boys
4. “Look What You’ve Done”, Drake
5. “(God Must Have Spent) A Little More Time on You”, ‘N Sync
6. “Mother”, Kacey Musgraves
7. “Oh Mother”, Christina Aguilera
8. “Mother”, Danzig
9. “Hey Mama”, Kanye West
10. “Mama I’m Coming Home”, Ozzy Osbourne
11. “Mother’s Little Helper”, The Rolling Stones
12. “Mama”, Crystal Bowersox
13. “Mother”, Pink Floyd
14. “Mama Said Knock You Out”, LL Cool J
15. “Hot Mama”, Trace Adkins
16. “Mama’s Pearl”, The Jackson 5
17. “Mother”, John Lennon
18. “A Song for Mama”, Boyz II Men
19. “Mama Liked the Roses”, Elvis Presley
20. “Mama”, Spice Girls
Rock fans will probably agree with my favorites #8,10,11,13 (and #14 is another personal favorite). A fine Mother’s Day Playlist, but if I could add to the list, “Stacey’s Mom” and the Run The Jewels classic “Oh Mama”.

If you have not made reservations for brunch with mom, you might be out of luck. Many restaurants and hotels have great specials this weekend to celebrate mom. Also, if your mom loves fun in the sun, Sun Splash Family Water Park in Cape Coral is offering free admission to mom’s both Saturday and Sunday.
Floating along the Lazy River in a water park sounds like a great thing to do this weekend with mom and the entire family.

The Florida Everblades are playing at home in the Southern Division Finals for the Kelly Cup. They lead the series 3 games to zero. Games are scheduled for both Friday and Saturday nights at Hertz Arena.
One more thing, we have passed the 7-month mark since Ian hit our coast. Thankfully, many things are slowly getting better. However, there is still so much need in our area. Life is still challenging for many many people. If you feel like getting out and about, we have a few ideas here. But then again, if you are not feeling so great mentally that is OK too. Please take care of yourself. Here are some resources that might help.
