Some Of The Most Expensive Flights In The Country Are In Florida
If you have a spring break or summer vacation you’re planning, prepare to pay as some of the most expensive flights in the country are in Florida.
I love to travel, but let’s face it, it can get expensive. And usually the biggest chunk of a trip can be just getting there. I know a lot of people that like to road trip. Living in Fort Myers, so far south in Florida, it takes forever just to get out of the state. I’m pretty much to the point where if it takes longer than 4 hours to get there, I’d rather take a flight. But flights can get pricy. I was looking at airfare to Cabo for a friends trip this September and I couldn’t find anything less than $600. Add in the resort, and whatever excursions I choose to do, it can certainly add up. I used to be able to find cheap flights all the time, but I feel like that is becoming more and more difficult.
Florida Has Some Of The Most Expensive Flights In The Country
It makes sense in the winter months especially, that flights to Florida are pricy. Everyone up in the snowy north wants to come to the Sunshine State. Upgraded Points put together a list of the most expensive flights in America and Florida came up 6 times in the top 10. And the majority of them included flights to Florida from Colorado. We love warm weather in Florida, but if you like to ski, that’s one of the spots to do it. The most expensive is from Aspen to West Palm Beach with $770.65 for a ONE-WAY ticket! And it’s not even direct. Absolutely insane. But it beats flying into Denver, where you can probably get a cheaper fare, and driving the 3 1/2 hours there. Overall, I find that flying out of a larger airport can save you some money, but it’s not always the most convenient option.
Other flights that make the list of the most expensive include Aspen to Miami, Eagle, CO to Miami, Aspen to Fort Myers, Miami to Sun Valley, ID and Eagle to Fort Myers.
