Lee County Teachers Plan A Protest In Fort Myers Today
Lee County Schools are planning to open August 10th and some teachers are making their voices heard about that reopening date.
Students and staff members are expected to gather at Broadway Palm Dinner Theater Friday, July 17 at 4:30 p.m. and drive down McGregor Boulevard and into Downtown Fort Myers during a peaceful rally.
Staff members and students are looking to push back the start date to allow more time to prepare for the new guidelines.
There’s about a 50% chance of thunderstorms at that time. Bring a poncho.
There are currently 315,693 confirmed cases in Florida, according to The Florida Department of Health.
