Florida Road Rage Escalates into a Chaotic and Bloody Arrest
I have seen some Florida road rage before, but nothing like this. So, there’s a guy in Dunnellon, 38-year-old, Josue Hernandez. This dude had all the ingredients to make a roadside horror story. We’re talking a pit bull, a naked kid, a truckload of cash, and enough fentanyl to wipe out a small town.
According to FOX35, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office got a call about a possible fight on SW Highway 484. A deputy rolls up, and finds Hernandez chucking “garbage” out his car window. Turns out this “garbage” was over $15,000 in cash. Yeah, this idiot was literally throwing money away.
But that’s just the beginning of this Florida road rage madness. The deputy takes a peek inside the car and sees a naked, unbuckled kid in the passenger seat and two dogs in the back, one of them a pit bull that looks like it’s ready to fight. The deputy asks Hernandez to step out of the car total of seven times. Hernandez doesn’t move, but instead, he lets his pit bull halfway out the window and starts mouthing off to the deputy.
Florida Road Rage Meltdown:
At this point, Hernandez is all fired up for a fight. The deputy tries to grab him, but Hernandez resists, almost shoving the deputy into the busy highway. Cars are zipping by, and it’s a miracle neither of them gets hit. But here’s where this Florida road rage is about to take a bloody turn…
Eventually, Hernandez and the deputy are fighting outside the car. The deputy is desperate to keep Hernandez from getting back in, fearing he might drive off with the kid still in the car or grab a weapon. So, outcomes the Taser. Hernandez gets zapped twice but still manages to rip out the electrified prongs and take off running.
Things get even crazier when Hernandez calls his pit bull to attack the deputies! They end up having to use pepper spray on the dog. Eventually, backup arrives, and they manage to wrestle Hernandez to the ground. The pit bull keeps trying to play hero, so it gets sprayed again. Dogs will do anything for their owners. Even if the owner is completely whacked out of their mind.
Finally, deputies get Hernandez in cuffs and put an end to this insane Florida road rage incident. Marion County Fire Rescue shows up to take him away from his injuries. Josue Hernandez was charged with everything from battery on an officer to child neglect to trafficking fentanyl.
