Help us find this dog a home, August. August is currently living at the Gulf Coast Humane Society in Fort Myers and needs a forever home. She stopped by the Sunny 106.3 studio this morning with Brian Wierima and made herself right at home. We could tell right away that she is a happy dog by the constant tail wagging and the little noises she maked when we scratched behind the ears or rubbed her belly.
About this dog, August
August is a terrier mix. She is fairly new to the Gulf Coast Humane Society but has already made a great impression on those who work there. She has been taken to numerous elementary schools in outreach programs. Any dog that can survive a room full of energetic kids would almost always make a great pet. In addition, the dog is said to play well with others, as in other dogs. She is only one year old and weighs about 40 pounds. A red coat and hazel eyes she is a healthy, beautiful dog with a great temperament. She has lots of fans in the building. We are all betting she finds a home quickly which is the idea.
In January we had a big adoption event at the Humane Society. Lots of animals found homes that day. Click here to see some of them. The shelter, unfortunately, sees new animal arrivals daily. Staffers want to get them out and into good homes like yours. Hint, hint. In the meantime, help us find this dog a home, August. What a great animal.
