Snoop Dogg Apologizes To Gayle King For His Instagram Rant
Snoop Dogg publically apologized to CBS This Morning host Gayle King over his recent rant about her; he was upset that, in her interview with former basketball star Lisa Leslie about the late Kobe Bryant, she referenced rape allegations from a few years ago. His rant, posted to Instagram, was seen as threatening to her, as he used the phrase “before we come get you.” Snoop has nearly 40 million followers on Instagram.
“Two wrongs don’t make no right. when you’re wrong, you gotta fix it,” he said in an Instagram post on Wednesday. Since it is an Instagram post it will stay live in his feed (unless he deletes it), as opposed to Instagram stories, which expire after 24 hours.
“With that being said, Gayle King, I publicly tore you down by coming at you in a derogatory manner based off of emotions of me being angry at a question you asked. Overreacted. I should have handled it way different than that, I was raised way better than that, so I would like to apologize publicly for the language that I used and calling you out your name and just being disrespectful.”
He concluded, “Anytime you mess up, it’s OK to fix it, it’s OK to man up to say that you’re wrong. I apologize. hopefully we can sit down and talk, privately.”
Apparently, his mother inspired him to look at his conflict with King differently; in the caption of his Instagram post, he wrote, “Had a talk with my momma thank u mamma 2 wrongs don’t make it right time to heal.”
