“A gift is pure when it is given from the heart to the right person at the right time and at the right place, and when we expect nothing in return,” Willow Smith shared to Instagram on Monday of her mother, Jada Pinkett-Smith’s new haircut.
The Red Table Talk cohost reposted the picture to her Instagram account giving Willow credit for the drastic cut,”Willow made me do it because it was time to let go BUT … my 50’s are bout to be Divinely lit with this shed❣️😜”
Jada’s circle immediately began commenting on her new ‘do.

Actress Gabrielle Union posted a bunch of emojis approving the style, ” ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥”
Oscar-winning writer Lena Waithe wrote, “Perfection.”
Willow responded, “You are DIVINE.”
Jada has been open about her hair journey on an 2018 episode of her Red Table Talk show where Willow and her mother Adrienne Banfield-Norris cohost alongside her.
“I’ve been getting a lot of questions about why I’ve been wearing this turban,” she said at the time, per the BBC. “Well, I’ve been having issues with hair loss. And it was terrifying when it first started.”
The actress suffers from a medical condition called alopecia areata which is described as “an autoimmune skin disease, causing hair loss on the scalp, face and sometimes on other areas of the body,” per the National Alopecia Areata Foundation.
“I was just like ‘Oh my god am I going bald?’ It was one of those times in my life where I was literally shaking with fear,” she said on her show. “That’s why I cut my hair and continue to cut it.”
The actress, who turns 50 in September, has described this next phase of her life to be “Divinely lit” with the choice of this new “shed.”
