Vanessa Hudgens is recovering from a foot-in-mouth moment that she had yesterday after going on Instagram to give her two cents on the coronavirus. In the cringe-worthy post, she says, “Um, yeah, till July sounds like a bunch of bulls—, I’m sorry. It’s a virus, I get it, I respect it, but at the same time, even if everybody gets it, like, yeah, people are going to die, which is terrible, but like… inevitable? I dunno, maybe I shouldn’t be doing this right now.”
Since her video went viral, Vanessa has posted an apology for her insensitivity. In a statement, she says, “I realize my words were insensitive and not at all appropriate for the situation our country and the world are in right now,” she wrote. “This has been a huge wake up call to the significance my words have, now more than ever. I’m sending safe wishes to everyone to stay safe and healthy during this crazy time.”
Although the actress has apologized, people are still going in on social media. Not only is her name trending, but so is “She’s 31.” See some of the tweets below.
