Millie Bobby Brown Is A ‘Karen’ For Leaving Bad Reviews
Millie Bobby Brown attends the Damsel World Premiere at The Plaza on March 01, 2024 in New York City.
When it comes to ensuring she has good service, Millie Bobby Brown lets it be known she isn’t a Damsel in distress. In a new interview, the 20-year-old British actress was asked if she leaves reviews for food service and experience.
Brown, who is engaged to Jon Bon Jovi's son Jake Bongiovi, gave a sly smile and replied that she does, and with a fake name, too. Quickly explaining why, the Stranger Things star states that it is “important” to give feedback. Using her own personal life, Brown adds that people criticize her “whole life,” so she’s “gonna give it back to you sometimes.”

In her interview, the actress recalled a time when she and her fiancé were staying at a hotel, and an employee became persistent about collecting payment before their trip was over. Although she didn’t call out the establishment by name, she did share her review. “‘I really think that you should encourage guests to complete the transaction of payment at the end of their stay!'” Brown said.
Next, Millie recalled a time when she was shopping in a store, and an older woman mistook her for someone who worked there. Wanting to help the woman find the socks she was looking for, the Enola Holmes actress went to locate a worker to assist her. However, this employee was “so unhelpful,” so she left a review. That was when Millie was asked if she was a Karen, to which she admits she’s a “very woke Karen.” The star defends her reviews despite the label, as she finds it “important to know where you went wrong, and [there’s] always room for improvement.” adding that her fiance Jake Bongiovi “gets so embarrassed” when she makes reviews.
Reacting to her examples, fans were quick to call her out on social media. On X (formerly Twitter), one person stated: “Girl is 20 years old. What does she really know about life.” Commenting on the Instagram post, one person said: “Yikes a main course of entitled with a side of petulance. Yes she is very young and probably a wonderful actor but imagine her ego in another 10 years.” Another wrote: “It’s telling that her whole conversation is about leaving negative reviews for bad service rather than also leaving positive ones for good.”
However, she seemed to get more support online from people feeling the same way she does. On X, one fan said: “honestly rate it, she’s not making a mountain out of a molehill from the stories she described, let her heart criticise others the way she’s criticised daily.” A second defended her, writing: “It’s not being a ‘karen’ when you’re simply expecting people to behave like normal and respectable human beings. Being a ‘karen’ is when your request is totally unreasonable.”
Here Are The Notable Titles Coming To Streaming In March
Spring is (thankfully) soon approaching, and so are the streamers with new content to add to their platforms. From star-studded films to exciting new television series, the month of March offers a lot of promising entertainment for fans of all genres. As we saw in February, new television series like Griselda and True Detective were highly anticipated, though both shows were met with mixed reviews. The latest and final season of Curb Your Enthusiasm is ongoing on Max (formerly HBO) after debuting its first episode on February 4. Another successful comedy show that re-emerged for a new season and is still releasing new episodes in March is Abbott Elementary.
Marching Onto Your TVs
Also notable: movies that were in theaters recently are trickling their way onto streaming platforms. 2023’s Wonka, starring Timothee Chalamet, is making its way into your living rooms. Chalamet has had a knockout year, starring in back-to-back films that are mighty successful. He will next be seen in the second installment of the Dune film franchise, which is set to release in theaters on March 1st. Besides the film’s cursed popcorn buckets, there has been nothing but high ratings and rave reviews for the sci-fi flick, also starring Zendaya, Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, Christopher Walken, Anya Taylor-Joy, Dave Bautista, Josh Brolin, and Javier Bardem.
New series and films that fans are looking forward to include the newest and first series by the Game of Thrones creators called 3 Body Problem. Another highly-anticipated film is one that takes in space (yes, that is a very overly done theme), but it’s got an eerie twist. Spaceman, starring Adam Sandler starts off pretty generic in the beginning of the trailer but quickly gets dark and very Black Mirror-esque as you watch more of it.
